Z bazy RAF Barrow chor.pil. Pyka Kazimierz wystartował do lotu treningowego na samolocie Miles ?Martinet? JP-270. Z powodu awarii silnika samolot rozbił się koło Ulverston w Lancashire. Pilot zginął w ruchomych piaskach, ciała nie odnaleziono.
