Zygmunt Kostrzewski, syn Aleksandra i Joanny z Thurmów urodzony 6.04.1897 r. w Przemyślu. Zginął w czasie drugiego lotu w rejon Kulikowa, lecący na wysokości ponżej 100 metrów samolot "zasypany" zostaje gradem kul z karabinów maszynowych. Siedem pocisków przeszywa głowę i pierś pilota , jedna obezwładnia obserwatora. Po śmierci odznaczony orderem Virtuti Militari i Krzyżem Walecznych. Za wybitne zasługi lotnicze odznaczony Polową Odznaką Pilota. (streszczenie z w/w księgi - W. Grudniak).
