Peter Koczan, 68, of Preeceville, passed away Oct 12,1996, in Preeceville Hospital.    
Funeral was held at the Evangel Tabernacle and burial in Lady Lake Cemetery(St. Demetrius). Born on Jul 16, 1916, at Cicsanow (Cieszanów - W. Grudniak), Poland, where he was educated. He served in the Polish army in 1940, and served one year in France. He then joined the Norway-Bristish Air Force, in which he served until 1947. He immigrated to Canada that year and worked at Thunder Bay, Ontario, for one year before oving to Flin Flon, Manitoba, where he worked for Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting for 24 years. He married Mary Soyko at Swan River on April 14, 1962. They moved to Preeceville upon retirement in 1977. Predeceased by his parents, Nicholi and Caroline, and a brother Steve, he is survivied by his wife, 2 daughters, Linda Chisholm and Adella Peleshaty, both of Victoria, BC, a brother Mike of Lviv, Ukraine, 2 sisters Eva and Rosie in Poland, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
